Birth and Fresh Beginnings!
Sat, May 05, 2012 12:05 pm

Happy Spring-time! Looks like we are out of the depths of the dark Swedish winter and into the glory of sun-light!

We have some great news to share...in August last year Isa and I had an amazing baby girl called Alaya! And last month we took over a yoga center in Stockholm. We have named the center Urban OM and our vision is to create a 'place' for yoga, self-inquiry and meditation. A place where you can experience inner…

Great strides!
Tue, November 08, 2011 1:58 pm

Congratulations to team REACH Grenada who courageously edged their way over the finishing line after 26.2 grueling miles winding through New York's five boroughs! Our 25 runners raised over $100,000 USD - Yay!! - to support kids yoga programs currently benefitting over 50 children living in institutional care homes. We are passionate about giving previously maltreated children the opportunity to be healthy and happy through the healing experience of yoga and meditation. The extra funds…

Improflow - yoga at your own pace
Sat, July 23, 2011 5:47 pm

After more than a decade of yoga and meditation practice, I have finally come to realize one basic fact: yoga works when I work it and it doesn't when I don't! I've also learned that when I'm most stressed is the time I least want to be with myself and yet it is the time when I most need it!

With this awareness,…

News and musings
Fri, May 27, 2011 9:00 pm

Life is full of wonder and I continue to be amazed by the flow of existence. Am glad to be carried downstream and am increasingly okay with being washed up on the river banks every now and again! They tell me it will all make sense in the long run!
Recently, I moved to Sweden from New York and as you'll see from the name and logo, Inner Being Yoga is a new…

Same same but different
Tue, April 26, 2011 2:00 pm

Had the pleasure to experience two great yoga havens during the early part of this year and would love to share. The first is Nosara in Costa Rica, which is a sleepy, small surf town, a little similar to how Byron Bay, Australia was many moons ago. Its worth checking out Pacha Mama commune (…

Calmer Kids!

Yoga really does work on every level, for everyone! Last year, we introduced a multi-tiered yoga and meditation program at a children's care home in Grenada (Caribbean), as part of the charity REACH Grenada (http://www.reachgrenada.org) that I co-founded in…

Every little step can go a long way
Thu, October 15, 2009 10:00 pm

Dear friends,

I hope this reaches you well and in good spirits. As you may know this year I am running the NYC marathon (26.2 grueling miles around the 5 boroughs of New York) to raise money for children and families in Grenada in the West Indies. I was originally inspired to run the marathon after watching Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson in the movie "Bucket List'. Then as a spectator standing in awe seeing thousands of courageous runners all…

Marathonasana - yoga up against the wall
Fri, October 02, 2009 1:00 am

As part of training for the Nov 1st, 2009, NYC Marathon, last week I ran 18 miles in Central Park and got an injury at mile 14, that was my wall on the day. First there were feelings of wanting to stop the pain, naturally as I'm not a sado-masochist. Then when people came near me or tried to talk, I couldn't handle it, needed space big time. Like a wounded lion in a pride, seeks solitude. After 2 miles of pain, I hunkered down some more and went into…

Take a risk, set yourself free
Tue, July 21, 2009 4:30 pm

Beloveds, I read a passage this morning from one of Krishnananda and Amano's books entitled "When Trust Fails, Learning to Trust Ourselves and Others". It really touched my heart and beautifully transmitted an essential teaching that for me lies at the very core of our yoga journey - learning to trust and open to the light within us and having the courage to acknowledge and lovingly navigate through the darkness of our apparent self-limitation. It is…

Enlighten Up!
Sun, April 19, 2009 6:30 pm

I went to see the yoga movie Enlighten Up! last week in downtown Manhattan. Recommended for anyone with a remote interest in yoga and especially if you want a quick snapshot as to how yoga is presenting itself in the USA today. Shot documentary style, it's upbeat and funny and well worth the money and time. The movie follows "Nick", a beginner yogi on his journey who sets out to "understand" yoga in its entirety. In particular, he is trying to make…

Paradise is not a place
Tue, March 24, 2009 5:48 pm

Greetings from the beautiful island of Mustique in the Caribbean. I recently have had the luxury and privilege of spending my birthday here with friends. A tiny island that offers sun, sea, sand and serenity, it has all the makings of a health and happiness haven. For the most part it has been just that and yet there have been times when I felt melancholy and sad. What to expect? These emotions along with excitement and tenderness, to name just a few, are part of the broad feeling spectrum that…

Namaste to you President Obama
Wed, November 05, 2008 6:53 am

Wow!! He did it! Yeh! Its one o'clock in the morning and I am sitting writing this message in my living room in Manhattan with my balcony doors wide open being pleasantly kept company by endless car horns hooting and Obama supporters screaming ecstatically! There will be celebrations going through the night I'm sure. What a wonderful result and much needed wave of change for America and the world..and boy do we need a breath of fresh air right now. I…

This time,
to dive
with an unremitting gaze,
into the dark core

The ultimate destination
of our journey together,
I'm sure will lead
to disappearance.
A journey I feel,
that is worth beginning,
again and again.

Prayer for Mellie

Dear All,

It is with great sadness that I write tonight from Portugal. I just found out that a beautiful soul with whom I shared
a long yoga journey with in Australia some years back, recently took her life. My heart, soul, love, pain,
and sadness all goes to Mellie, her family and close friends. She lit the way for many, now may she find rest and peace for herself. Namaste, Neo

MEDIDANCE launch SESSION
in Lisbon

Medidance, a unique concept, is a fusion of movement through dance and stillness through meditation. A session lasts 75 minutes and will help you to relieve stress, to become more relaxed and to regain a sense of inner balance and power. Medidance is a contemporary process creating a space for you to reach a blissful state whilst giving you power to transfer this feeling to your real and everyday life. Medidance is a path where you can rejoice both in the…

Dear All,

Greetings from the beautiful island of Mustique in the Caribbean. This is a special place where the natural beauty is just spell-binding! I spent my birthday in Mustique earlier in the week, a glorious breakfast followed by lunch on the beach (pictured) and then scuba diving a coral reef in the afternoon! All in all, the perfect way to get a day older!

The Hero's Journey

A big namaste to my all friends in India for sharing in the Primal Intensive group January 2008 (pictured). The group is otherwise called "Freedom from the Past" and is also known as "The Hero's Journey". It was one of the most intense spiritual journeys I've ever been through. But now having come through it, I can look back and say that my life has changed for ever, for better. Freedom is our birthright and yes we were born free. But somehow along…

Outer environment is important to inner wellbeing...

Yesterday, I spent the whole day on planes and in airports, traveling from NYC to Grenada

(Caribbean) with a long stop-over in Puerto Rico. It was very tiring, especially as I had only

been back in New York less than a week from being one month in India.

Its the first time I'm staying at La Luna Boutique Hotel in Grenada it really is a beautiful and

charming getaway…

It was great to be Christmas shopping in New York, then Christmas holidays with my family in London followed by New Year's celebration in the Caribbean. Then after two overnight red-eye flights I arrived in India and fell into the arms of the Osho…

So its great to have been reminded all week of Grace as the entire country gets ready for this huge national Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you dear god for your grace, thank you dear…

Recently, I represented the Bart J Lawson Foundation for Children and visited Grenada in the Caribbean to meet with the Prime Minister and other key people, as well as vising rural outposts to meet and to talk with the people of Grenada.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss ways to help rebuild Grenada and to help find ways to improve children's social, emotional, physical and spiritual development for the future. As some of you may be aware, just…

God is everywhere...
Mon, October 22, 2007 6:22 pm

Dear All,

I've been traveling a lot recently so I decided to spend this past weekend walking, relaxing and hanging out in the East Village in Manhattan. The "grounding" took quite a while - it is amazing how adrenalin in the body can create a drive and difficulty in being able to stop and to just be. But after a few massages at my local Chinese Qi-Tuan and healthy organic eating at Angelica's Kitchen and a lot of…

A 10,000 strong Namaste
Mon, September 17, 2007 2:57 pm

I had the privilege of sitting and listening to the Dalai Lama speak in Barcelona last Monday. I had just got off an overnight flight from New York and so was a little tired. But it was truly energising to be with around 10,000 other people to listen to an inspiring political leader with a spiritual cause. His message is plain and simple "SOS TIBET". He encourages people to visit his country to raise awareness of the atrocities that have taken…

Dear All,

In case any of you are interested in having a wonderful weekend away in the beautiful Barcelona...here's a perfect excuse....the Dalai Lama is speaking in Barcelona at 3pm on Sunday 10th September.

I'll be there, albeit perhaps a little jaded as I'm arriving in on the 'red-eye' from New York that same morning!

In the evening, we will have a little get together at my friend's restaurant, called Organic. It's a…
